Drake's first piano composition

After "shelving" the idea of piano lessons for Drake in first grade and not really making much progress since then, I've finally committed to giving him regular lessons this year. It's been slow, but steady. He isn't a virtuoso, but he seems to be happy making slow and steady progress - so it's been a successful several months. We are using Faber's Piano Adventures (Primer Level), as recommended by my sister, who has taught piano privately, and another friend who is also a piano teacher. I like the method a lot so far. It seems to follow a similar progression to the Music Pathways books I learned with when I was a kid.

Drake made up a song for Levi a couple of weeks ago. He had just learned to read off the grand staff the last time we had a piano lesson, so he asked if he could write down his song. It was easy to find blank staff paper to print online, and then he did it mostly on his own. I helped him figure out the bar lines (he hasn't learned time signatures yet, but bar lines have been introduced). Here's his first composition!
